“Would you mind reading these for me, and giving me your opinion?”

Inwardly, I shuddered; everyone is a writer – right!  But, she was a good friend, and I figured I had better read them in case she asked questions later.

I learned two things that day – That Sox was a brilliant and talented writer, and that I should not jump to hasty conclusions.

“How long have you been sitting on these?”  I asked.  “About twenty years” came the reply.  So much talent, so little sharing.

Of course, if you wanted to build a hobby website twenty years ago, it was a problem.

Not today.

” How much would it cost to build a hobby website?” she asked.

“About 495″ I replied.  “I can’t afford $4,950!”  “No, $495.” Stunned silence.

“You can build a hobby website for me for $495?” On reflection, I had to admit that things had changed a lot in the last few years.  Even as little as 3 years ago, $4,950 might have been the going rate.

Today, the price of realizing your dream really is down to $495.
